We are seeking a qualified and caring Registered Dental Hygienist to provide top-notch dental care to our clients. As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will screen patients, perform dental cleanings, and assist the dentists with exams and procedures.
Responsibilities- Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions
- Take vital signs and accurately record medical histories
- Perform preliminary exams and collect oral health histories
- Evaluate patients for signs of gum disease, cavities, and infection
- Remove plaque and apply fluoride treatments
- Diagnose Periodontal disease and periodontal charting
- Teach good oral hygiene techniques
- Create dental impressions, when needed
- Take x-rays
- Assist dentist during exams
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies
- Associates Degree from a school certified by the Commission on Dental Accreditation, Bachelors or Masters degree preferred
- Current Dental Hygienist licensure
- At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines
- Able to perform efficient Scaling and Root Planing and regular prophylaxis
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
