Job Summary

This is a temporary position for up to 9 months. The successful candidate will perform routine electro-mechanical assembly operations on components or subassemblies of moderate complexity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble housings and chassis for electronic units to meet production schedules and performance standards.
  • Use Operational Method Sheets, drawings, schematics, verbal/written instructions and hand tools to assemble, modify, rework or re-assemble units.
  • Communicate openly and effectively in a professional manner.
  • Understand and follow all safety requirements.
  • Understand and follow ISO practices and procedures.
  • Consider the impact of quality on the customers when making decisions.
Work Environment

Location: Ronkonkoma, NY

Works in a manufacturing environment which may be noisy and fast paced. Many tasks are repetitive in motion and include the use of hand tools. Overtime (OT) may be required in times of increased production or service repairs.

Requirements
  • Mechanical assembly skills and the ability to use hand tools.
  • Ability to read technical assembly documentation required.
  • Basic PC knowledge.
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred.
  • Ability to effectively work in a team environment.
  • Models positive and professional work ethics.
  • Considers the impact to quality when making decisions.
Experience
  • Experience performing mechanical assembly using hand tools in an electronic manufacturing environment.
  • Experience maintaining flexibility and being able to adapt in a team environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices.
Education

High school education or equivalent.

Compensation

The range of starting pay for this role is $22 to $24 per hour.
