Medical Professional for Gastroenterology Care in Albany, NY

Allied Digestive Health is seeking a skilled medical professional to join our team at Albany Gastroenterology Consultants. This full-time position will involve both outpatient and inpatient duties.
This role requires hospitalist or strong primary care experience.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing health problems and coordinating healthcare for patients in accordance with state and federal rules and regulations. This includes assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of a plan of care and treatment, implementation of the treatment plan, and evaluation of patient status and clinical management. The practice will be conducted in collaboration with other healthcare team members.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Knowledge of pertinent medical and drug information necessary to examine and treat gastroenterology patients.
- Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Hospital privileges, either current or eligible for.
- Excellent multitasking and attention to detail skills.
- Able to perform duties accurately and efficiently.
- Exemplary patient service skills and the ability to remain courteous and respectful.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including patience under stressful situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and MS Office.
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA laws and guidelines.
Education and Experience Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- A graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
- Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in New York State.
- A valid DEA certificate.
Compensation
The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
