We are seeking a skilled Support Services Professional who wants to make a positive impact in the lives of children and families.



Purpose and Impact:

The Support Services Professional will provide assistance and support to the Case Management Organization by performing various tasks such as client transportation, supervised visitation, and foster parent support.



Essential Functions:

  • Transportation and Client Support: Use agency vehicles or personal vehicles to transport client children to and from program placements, supervised visits, medical, and dental appointments.
  • Transportation Request and Tracking: Maintain a weekly Transportation Request form and track agency vehicle mileage, service, and usage.
  • Placement Follow-up and Support: Perform placement follow-up contacts with assigned foster homes upon placement of children in those homes.
  • Foster Home Visits: Visit all assigned foster homes quarterly or more often to provide information and/or support.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare required reports and other documentation as instructed by the unit supervisor.
  • Community Outreach: Participate in community outreach programs, including recruitment events, foster parent meetings, and support groups.
  • Professional Development: Attend and participate in staff/professional trainings, meetings, and supervision sessions.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Function in the community without direct supervision and function professionally in a team setting.


Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Clerical Support: May fill in for clerical staff by answering agency phones and assisting with filing.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability and flexibility to work extended hours, respond to emergencies during off-hours, and frequent travel locally and through the state as required.
  • Physical Demands: Adapt to irregular working hours, perform light lifting, and work in a fast-paced environment.


Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Communication and Technical Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, technical proficiency, and typing skills.
  • Self-Management and Planning: Advanced self-management, planning, and organization skills.
  • Cultural Competence: Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to our service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and needs.


Education and Experience:

  • Education: High School Diploma, some college preferred.
  • Experience: One to three (1-3) years' experience in community service agencies is preferred.


Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Driver's License and Insurance: Valid state driver's license and appropriate auto liability insurance required.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability and flexibility to work extended hours, respond to emergencies during off-hours, and frequent travel locally and through the state as required.

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
