Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Infection Control team at Ascension Via Christi. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing organization-wide infection control programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer the organization's Infection Control Plan and prepare the Infection Control Surveillance Summary.
  • Perform infection surveillance and investigation, including planning, design, data collection, interpretation, and reporting.
  • Report infection surveillance, prevention, and control information to all public health authorities as required by law.
  • Provide consultation, education, and training for infection control and prevention issues.
Requirements
  • Certification specializing in Infection Control credentialed from the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (CBIC) obtained within 36 months of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Five years of clinical experience, Infection Prevention experience preferred.
