Ryder Warehouse Team Lead Job Description

Ryder is seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Team Lead to join our team in Etna, Ohio. As a Warehouse Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading and ensuring continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and forklift operation.
  • Allocate resources and organize daily work duties to team members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
  • Inspire and guide team members towards improved Key Performance Indicator (KPI's) using effective leadership styles and methods.
  • Assist in providing orientation for new employees and provide them with necessary information, technology, and tools to perform their jobs.
  • Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
  • Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred.
  • One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred.
  • One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred.
  • One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner advanced required.
  • Valid forklift operator's license certified.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective leadership skills.
  • Possesses flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
