Job Summary

As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Prisma Health, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse/Physician, you will provide nursing care for patients, collecting and documenting data related to their status, ongoing monitoring, and measuring their responses. Your compassion and expertise will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care based on individualized plans of care as delegated by the Registered Nurse/Physician, addressing physical, emotional, cultural, spiritual, psychosocial, and educational needs.
  • Monitor and document patient status and condition, including vital signs, drains, dressings, and lab values.
  • Inform the Registered Nurse/Physician of activities performed, observations, and changes in patient status.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance of patient medical records and treat them with confidentiality.
  • Collect and document data as delegated, utilizing specialized equipment like glucometers and pulse oximetry.

Requirements:

  • Education: Completion of an LPN program recognized by the SC State Board of Nursing.
  • Experience: One (1) year experience as an LPN or successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program or a comparable residency program.
  • Certifications, Registrations, Licenses: Licensed to practice as an LPN in South Carolina.
