The Nutrition Associate is a key member of the AdventHealth Altamonte Springs team, responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality food and nourishments to patients and retail areas. This role requires attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and assemble hot and cold food, salads, sandwiches, and desserts for trayline, patients, and retail areas.
- Follow recipes and instructions to ensure product accuracy, correct portions, and appropriate garnishes.
- Monitor and record refrigerator, freezer, and food temperatures daily.
- Ensure work areas, storerooms, and walk-in/freezers are clean, neat, and reflect the FIFO method of product rotation.
- Deliver patient meal trays to meet time standards for delivery of meals.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to display a positive and supportive attitude toward diverse employees.
- Creative, innovative, and receptive to change.
- Ability to observe, listen, and follow directions.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Healthcare food service experience.
