About the Role:

Vermont Hard Cider Company, LLC is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrical Technician to join our team on a 3rd shift schedule. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing complex equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete work orders and provide maintenance/electrical support.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain PLC and VFD controlled high-speed production equipment and batch processes.
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment using precision measurement tools.
  • Interpret schematics and equipment manuals.
  • Adhere to plant safety and 5S requirements; complete assigned work efficiently and per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
  • Analyze process data and make decisions on equipment maintenance and improvement activities.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) to increase equipment reliability and up time.
  • Utilize Guide TI to accurately and thoroughly document and track all corrective and preventive maintenance performed throughout the course of the day; including sourcing and issuing parts, documenting equipment issues and entering inspection/measurement points.
  • Prioritize and self-schedule maintenance work around production activities to achieve both production and maintenance KPI's.
  • Follow all safety guidelines to ensure safe work practices are used at all times and to ensure that a safe working environment is maintained at all times.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED and electrical experience required; 3-year industrial electrical/programming experience, two-year technical degree and/or licensed electrician preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience troubleshooting motor control and mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge and experience with Allen Bradley (preferred) PLC's, VFD's, instrumentation and other industrial control components preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems, identify root causes (e.g. six-sigma analysis), propose, and implement remedies; ability to perform calibrations, installation, and maintenance of process and analytical instrumentation.
  • Strong computer skills required; Microsoft Office proficiency as well as Computerized Maintenance Management Systems experience preferred.
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience in high-speed packaging and/or highly automated continuous process environment preferred.
  • Ability to perform mechanical work, valve replacement, conveyor bearing, and chain replacement, motor/gearbox replacement, lube routes.
  • Ability to work overtime, second or third shift, and to provide support after hours as needed.

Salary and Benefits:

This position offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including medical, dental, vision, life & accidental insurance, 401k with employer match, paid time off, paid parental leave, annual bonus plan, and more.
