We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Platform Engineer to join our team at Capital One, a leading digital banking solutions provider. This role is responsible for creating and supporting DevOps tools with emerging technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for solving complex technical problems in a fast-paced, collaborative, inclusive, and iterative delivery environment. They will work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios, and continuously improve software engineering practices.

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions. You will also bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community.

This role requires strong skills in scripting languages like Python, SQL, Ruby, and groovy, as well as Container Orchestration services including Docker and ECS, CM tools including Ansible and Terraform, and a variety of AWS tools and services.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 4 years of experience using build and deployment tools (Jenkins, GitHub, or Artifactory)
  • At least 2 years of experience with AWS
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
  • 1+ years of experience in Third Party Consulting
  • 1+ years of experience with Web Automation: Playwright, Cypress
  • 1+ years of experience with Mobile Automation: XCUI, Espresso
Compensation:

$134,100 - $153,000 per year for Senior Platform Engineer in New York City (Hybrid On-Site)

$125,000 - $142,600 per year for Senior Platform Engineer in Illinois (Hybrid On-Site)

Note: Salaries may vary based on location and experience.
