Job Summary

The Guest Services Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring a safe and supportive environment for guests at the Pine Street Inn shelter. This position requires a high level of professionalism, empathy, and energy to respond to guests' needs in a timely and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist guests in developing and implementing a housing pathway, motivating them to work towards rapid housing and connecting them to relevant resources.
  • Provide support and guidance to guests in connecting with substance abuse, mental health, and medical resources when the shelter cannot accommodate their needs.
  • Enter data into the Homeless Management Information (HMIS) system and document reports in accordance with agency policy.
  • Make sound decisions and seek guidance from a supervisor as needed.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in the Human Services field.
  • Valid MA driver's license in good standing (preferred).
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of addiction, recovery, and mental illness.
  • Knowledge of area resources.
  • Ability to administer Narcan and CPR in a work setting.
