This position requires a government security clearance; the applicant must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration. The China Legal Analyst will support trade enforcement and enforcement-related negotiations across sectors and product categories, regions and countries, and companies and corporate groupings.

The following tasks shall be performed with subject matter and assignments subject to change multiple times per day:

  • Research assigned subject matter using electronic and print resources, including Chinese language sources;
  • Summarize Chinese sources in English orally and in writing;
  • Translate Chinese excerpts and documents into English;
  • Draft English memoranda and reports summarizing and/or analyzing research results;
  • Assist in gathering evidence for litigation and investigations;
  • Fact and citation check.

The China Legal Analyst must possess extensive knowledge of written Chinese, research sources and methods using Chinese, and ability to organize and analyze applicable information from Chinese sources. They must also be able to write clearly in English on complex subjects, requiring minimal editing.
