Job Summary

At DDS Companies, we are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Cable Technician-Telecom to join our team of dedicated professionals. This role will involve working alongside and/or assisting the crew lead for cable, fiber, and telecom technicians in the execution of low voltage infrastructure work orders and projects. The position will require travel throughout New York State and will work both indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation of outlets, pulling cable, fire stopping and pre-termination including organizing, forming, dressing, and labeling cable to industry standards.
  • Terminate, assemble, and install 8-pin modular connectors and coaxial and light crimp connectors.
  • Perform various wireless installations and troubleshooting activities.
  • View and print traces.
Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience
  • A minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
  • Previous telecommunications, electrical wiring, or basic construction experience.
  • Must be able to lift 100 lbs. and pass a post offer pre-employment physical assessment test.
  • Possess a valid NYS Driver's License and have a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel up to job sites throughout Western, NY.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced and quickly changing work environment with strict deadlines.
