Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Atlantic Health System. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing mammographic, Dexa, and planar X-ray procedures on patients according to state, federal, professional, and departmental standards and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mammographic, Dexa, and planar X-ray procedures on patients with a high standard of accuracy in positioning and technical factors.
  • Review each requisition/questionnaire and record prior to the exam to ensure all pertinent information is available.
  • Assemble and review patient data, history, and proper two patient identifiers.
  • Verify physician orders and ensure information for radiologist's interpretation is available.
  • Perform all computer functions properly to ensure proper patient charging and image interpretation.
  • Proper utilization of the PenRad system.
  • Achieve and maintain required annual licensure/CME and assist in all aspects of tracking as per MQSA guidelines.
  • Deliver age-appropriate care and maintain open communication with site leadership.
  • Contribute to the team and work cooperatively with peers.
  • Demonstrate ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in an accredited RT Program or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a staff technologist in Mammography or relevant area.
  • NJ State RT license.
  • ARRT Mammography Certification.
  • Current BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 200 mammography exams performed within past 24 months.
