Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Behavior Therapist at the Practical Skills Clinic. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with clients who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or other special needs, providing direct therapy and behavioral intervention in 1:1 sessions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement individualized goals, programs, and checklists, including an individualized Treatment Plan, as written and directed by the case supervisor.
  • Provide direct therapy and behavioral intervention in 1:1 sessions with clients ranging in age from 18 months to 21 years.
  • Maintain respect for and confidentiality of all clients, including keeping all client information confidential.
  • Participate in training on an ongoing basis and adhere to all procedures, as outlined.
Requirements
  • High school diploma.
  • Demonstration of thorough understanding of skills learned during required trainings.
  • Mobility: ability to move from seated to standing position as the desires of the client mandate, to circulate for extended periods of time, and to lift/carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Communication: ability to communicate so that others can clearly understand normal conversation, and to hear and understand spoken English at normal conversational volume.
