Environmental Engineer

Tetra Tech is seeking a highly skilled Mid-level Environmental Engineer to join our Southern California remediation practice in Irvine. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in advancing our practice and delivering exceptional results for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments to identify potential environmental hazards and develop effective remediation strategies.
- Support the evaluation, design, and implementation of innovative site remediation technologies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and minimize environmental impact.
- Manage, operate, and maintain remediation systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and manage their activities to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Plan and execute soil, soil vapor, and groundwater investigations and monitoring activities to gather critical data and inform remediation decisions.
- Evaluate data and prepare comprehensive reports to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
- Master's degree in environmental engineering with a focus on remediation is preferred.
- Certification as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with plans to obtain a professional license in California is desirable.
- Familiarity with permitting and technical requirements for site remediation in California is also desirable.
- Ability and willingness to perform fieldwork and travel are required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary.
- Highly motivated with excellent technical writing and documentation skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented, resourceful, strong time management skills, and innovative.
- Operational knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (MS Excel, MS Word).
- Software experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, gINT, and other relevant tools.
