Job Summary:

As a skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with Aequor Technologies, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team to provide high-quality care to residents in skilled nursing facilities. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in speech, language, and swallowing disorders, particularly in the elderly population.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate and assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in residents of skilled nursing facilities.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing deficits, enhancing residents' quality of life.
Provide direct therapy services, including individual and group sessions, to improve speech, language, and swallowing functions.
Educate residents, families, and caregivers on strategies and techniques to support communication and swallowing needs at home and in the facility.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and physical therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for residents.

Requirements:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Current state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric setting.
Strong knowledge of speech, language, and swallowing disorders, particularly in the elderly population.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
