Business Development Associate

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our business development team at Markel. As a Business Development Associate, you will be responsible for managing relationships and growing Markel business with an assigned call cycle of existing agency relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute on Markel's business plan for assigned region
- Work with assigned agencies to keep Markel top of mind, maintain existing book of business, and write new business as opportunities are identified
- Collaborate with business development team to plan and represent Markel at various conventions and events
Requirements
- Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
