Supervisory Transportation Security Inspector

As a Supervisory Transportation Security Inspector with the Transportation Security Administration, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the American way of life. You will be responsible for securing airports, seaports, railroads, highways, and public transit systems, protecting America's transportation infrastructure and ensuring freedom of movement for people and commerce.
Key Responsibilities- Conducting transportation security inspections and investigations to identify potential problem areas and determine when enforcement action should be taken.
- Engaging in testing security systems to ensure their effectiveness and identifying areas for improvement.
- Documenting the results of inspections and investigations to monitor compliance with policies, regulations, and agreements.
- Collaborating with other agencies and stakeholders to share best practices and address common challenges.
- Providing guidance and oversight to junior inspectors to ensure they have the necessary training and support to perform their duties effectively.
- U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National status.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.
- Passing pre-employment drug screening and being subject to post-employment random drug and alcohol testing.
- Selective Service registration.
- Valid driver's license.
- Successfully completing the Basic Transportation Security Inspections Course.
- Availability for on-call work and duty within the U.S. and possibly worldwide to protect U.S. transportation interests.
- Ability to work various shifts, including frequently changing and uncommon tours of duty.
- Extensive travel, at times overnight, as required.
