Job Summary

Nationwide Vision is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at our Phoenix Medical Center. As a Patient Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our medical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Register new patients and update existing patient demographics.
  • Facilitate patient flow by notifying providers of patient arrival and communicating with patients and clinical staff.
  • Protect patient confidentiality by securing protected health information.

Requirements:

  • Previous office administration or receptionist experience or a minimum of one year work experience in a medical office setting.
  • Telephone etiquette, customer service, basic word and excel programs, time management, multi-tasking, organization, scheduling.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • PC proficient.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear, and frequently stands, walks, uses hands to finger, handle or feel, and reaches with hands and arms. Must be able to move and lift up to 20 pounds.

Position Type and Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary, and the employee must be able to work weekends.
