About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a qualified Virtual School Psychologist to support students' mental health and educational needs at a Nebraska school district.

Job Description:

The Virtual School Psychologist will work remotely to provide psychological assessments, counseling, and consultation services to students, parents, and educational staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' strengths and challenges.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students via secure online platforms to address their mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans (BIPs).
  • Offer crisis intervention and support to students in distress, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote student well-being.
  • Develop and deliver professional development workshops for educators and staff on mental health topics, enhancing their knowledge and skills in supporting students' mental health.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student progress and interventions, adhering to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Stay current with best practices in school psychology and virtual counseling, ensuring that services are delivered in a manner that is aligned with industry standards.

Requirements:

  • A master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
  • A valid School Psychologist license in Nebraska.
  • Experience working in a school setting, with a strong understanding of IEPs, BIPs, and school-based mental health services.
  • Proficiency in using virtual communication tools and platforms, such as video conferencing software and online learning management systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with teletherapy or virtual counseling, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities, which can be beneficial in serving students from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
