Job Summary

Under the supervision of an anesthesiologist, the Senior Nurse Anesthetist will provide safe anesthesia care to patients, including pre-operative assessment, anesthesia administration, and post-operative care. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of current nursing, anesthesia, and critical care techniques, as well as excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-operative assessments and develop safe anesthesia care plans
  • Administer all types of anesthetic and techniques, including MAC, regional, and general anesthesia
  • Monitor patients intra-operatively and provide post-operative care
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective patient care
  • Document patient information and anesthesia records accurately and thoroughly

Requirements

  • Valid California RN and CRNA license
  • Graduated from an accredited Master's or DNP program in Nurse Anesthesia
  • Current certification/re-certification by the National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists
  • BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC
  • 2 years of experience in anesthesia care
