About the Role

The Charge Nurse in our Electrophysiology Lab is a key member of our team, responsible for the management of the unit, including participating in employee evaluation, staffing and scheduling, patient and preceptor assignments, oversight of resource utilization, and initiating and overseeing quality improvement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Clinical Manager and/or Nursing Director with the management of the unit
  • Participate in employee evaluation, staffing and scheduling, patient and preceptor assignments
  • Oversight of resource utilization and quality improvement activities
  • Act as a resource and provide information/education to unit staff
  • Involved in service recovery, promoting customer service to both internal and external customers

Requirements

  • Licensed or eligible for license in Kentucky
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required for some units
  • Associates's degree from accredited college or University
