Opportunity for a Wastewater Specialist at Shearer's Foods

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Wastewater Specialist in our manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the efficiency of machinery and equipment, ensuring compliance with plant and environmental standards.

About the Role:

The Wastewater Technician is accountable for the efficient operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment that includes but not limited to all wastewater management equipment and components. Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform ongoing sample collection, preparation, and analytical laboratory testing
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the system
  • Adjust the system processes and equipment based upon system analysis and trends
  • Maintain records, perform data entry, and provide detailed standardized reporting
  • Monitor and manage the system performance to assure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency

We offer a competitive salary range of $20.40/hour, and you will work in a 2,2,3 work schedule (every other weekend off). This role requires flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.

  • Ability to perform mechanical work, valve replacement, conveyor bearing and chain replacement, motor/gearbox replacement, lube routes
