Scribe Therapeutics is a pioneering molecular engineering company dedicated to developing innovative in vivo therapies that address the root causes of diseases. Our team of experts, including CRISPR inventors and leading molecular engineers, is committed to overcoming the limitations of current genome editing and repressor technologies. We are seeking a highly skilled Patent Attorney to join our team and contribute to the advancement of our proprietary CRISPR by Design platform for CRISPR-based genetic medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft patent specifications and claims related to molecular biology and genetic engineering using CRISPR-based technologies.
• Collaborate with senior in-house patent attorneys and outside counsel to develop patent drafting, prosecution, and strategy.
• Assist in the oversight of the patent portfolio and monitor the competitive landscape.
• Review scientific and patent literature to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the field.
• Perform patent keyword and assignee searches to identify potential intellectual property issues and communicate findings to project teams.

Requirements:

• JD degree and admission to practice law in the state of California.
• MS or doctorate in molecular biology, with a specialization in CRISPR technology preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in a law firm, with a focus on patent and claim drafting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex information.
• Strong organizational abilities and experience working in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary research environment.
