HVAC Controls Installation Technician Job Description
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Control Service Technician to join our team at Melink Corporation. As a full-time traveling professional, you will be responsible for installing and commissioning control systems for commercial kitchen ventilation. Your expertise in product installation and ability to work independently will be essential in helping us grow our business and become a national leader in the emerging energy efficiency and renewable energy space.

HVAC Controls Installation Technician Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Install and/or commission control systems for commercial kitchen ventilation.
  • Install low 230+ volt and electrical equipment.
  • Perform site surveys of commercial kitchen ventilation hoods and mechanical systems.
  • Coordinate with various trades for product installation.
  • Deliver formal site training to end-users.
  • Write technical reports at project completion.
  • Provide technical support to customers and contractors.
  • Make recommendations for service enhancements or modifications.
  • Manage travel arrangements and submit expense reports.
  • Participate in weekly safety meetings.
  • 100%+ travel required.
HVAC Controls Installation Technician Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Mechanical, electrical, and controls knowledge required.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High emotional intelligence and a service leadership philosophy.
  • High attention to detail and conflict resolution skills.
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of integrity and quality.
  • Strong work ethic and self-accountability.
  • Able to establish effective working relationships.
  • OSHA 10- or 30-Hour training preferred.
  • CPR/AED/First Aid certification preferred.
  • Must pass a driving record check.
HVAC Controls Installation Technician Physical Demands:

  • Requires ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at waist.
  • Must be able to climb a minimum 30 ft ladder.
  • Maximum unassisted lift = 70 lbs.
  • Exposed to seasonal weather and varied travel conditions.
