Job Description

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team in Norcross, Georgia. As a Master Level Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform standard vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
  • Instruct and advise other technicians on maintenance repair procedures and diagnostics
  • Coach/Mentor other level technicians

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
  • Basic tools, required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Four (4) years or more Relevant work experience, preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred

Benefits:

  • Average Weekly Pay: $1327
  • Hourly Pay: $33.19
  • Certification Bonus of $100 for each New ASE Certification Obtained up to $700
  • Quarterly Bonus: Ryder Pays you up to $500 Every Quarter - Four Times Per Year
  • Sign On Bonus: Ryder Pays You $2500 at 30 days and $2500 at 90 days

Work Schedule:

  • Second Shift Tuesday through Friday 10:00 am – 6:30 pm
  • Saturday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to perform all T3 tasks
  • Must have demonstrated advanced analytical and repair skills in vehicle maintenance
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Must have basic computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
