Amentum is seeking an Electrical Infrastructure Specialist to join our facilities and production maintenance services team in Waukesha, WI.

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $30 - $38 per hour, based on the job requirements and industry standards.

Job Description:

The Electrical Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for providing expert-level electrical services, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment and control circuits. The ideal candidate will have experience working with electrical one lines and schematics, and be familiar with NFPA 70E and NEC regulations.

The successful candidate will work closely with our team to execute projects, assign work, and ensure that all electrical work is completed safely and efficiently. The Electrical Infrastructure Specialist will also be responsible for performing safety and hazard assessments, inspecting and documenting findings, and communicating with clients and management to resolve any electrical issues.

Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical equipment and control circuits from 24v to 480V AC
  2. Perform maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment, including motors, lighting systems, and control circuits
  3. Execute projects, including assigning work and testing finished projects
  4. Direct the work of unskilled and semi-skilled helpers, ensuring proper safety practices are followed
  5. Read schematics and one lines to determine solutions for problems
  6. Perform safety and hazard assessments prior to performing any electrical work
  7. Inspect and document findings
  8. Communicate with clients and management to resolve any electrical issues
  9. Respond to calls and take necessary actions
  10. Perform preventive maintenance on electrical control and operating systems
  11. Recommend measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Electrician Certificate from an apprenticeship program or equivalent Associate's Technical degree
  3. Experience working safely with voltages up to 480v
  4. Ability to read and troubleshoot from electrical one lines and schematics
  5. Valid driver's License
  6. Familiarity with electrical test equipment, including multimeters, megger, and verifiers
  7. Familiarity with distribution panels and switchboards
  8. Ability to follow company Lockout tagout procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Associate's degree in industrial technology or certificate from an industrial electrical course
  2. Experience working as a licensed electrician
  3. Knowledge of lighting, lighting control, and commercial systems
  4. Experience installing rigid conduit and EMT up to 3 inch
  5. Working knowledge of NEC, sizing wire and transformers, calculating conduit fill
  6. Experience troubleshooting and replacing 3 phase motors up to 60hp
