Job Title: Director of Graduate Medical Education

Job Summary:

The Director of Graduate Medical Education will serve as the senior administrative leader of graduate medical education in defined markets across our integrated network. This role will work closely with central GME leadership and market leadership to ensure compliance with ACGME requirements, alignment with strategic priorities, and the formation and maintenance of academic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and improve Sutter Health's GME landscape and footprint.
  • Coordinate new and ongoing program accreditations, supporting the management of academic sponsor relationships.
  • Create and maintain business relationships to educate and promote GME-related initiatives and partnerships.
  • Work with local Human Resources to ensure Market leaders across the Sutter network are up to date on critical needs and issues at the local facilities supporting GME.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or equivalent education/experience required.
  • 7-12 years of recent relevant experience.
  • Prior experience with demonstrated increasing level of responsibility in management, preferably in an academic setting or organization.

  • Strong leadership, critical thinking, and writing skills.
  • Self-motivated and willing to take on new initiatives.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Effective organizational performance improvement skills.

Comprehensive Compensation + Benefits:

The compensation range for base salary for this role is $255,000 - $284,460. The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
