Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Histology Manager to join our team at Quest Diagnostics Incorporated. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our histology laboratory, ensuring the highest quality of work and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of histology technicians and laboratory aides
  • Develop and implement quality control and quality assurance programs
  • Optimize IHC protocol and reagent inventory management
  • Train colleagues in IHC procedures and provide technical feedback
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and professional regulations
  • Manage day-to-day histology operations and oversee staff of direct and indirect reports
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in histology and IHC, with previous supervisory experience in a high-volume independent laboratory
  • Working knowledge of LIS and PC network environment, including word-processing, database, and spreadsheet applications
  • Ability to manipulate and analyze technical data, exercise judgments critical to patient care, and concentrate for long periods of time during light microscopy
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
  • IAC certification and state license as a histology technologist and supervisor required
