Job Title: Cardiovascular Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in cath lab, peripheral, and IR procedures, as well as proficiency in Impella balloon pump, IVUS, FFR, and IFR.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, prepare, and position patients for procedures.
  • Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary.
  • Prepare, implement, and document plan of care.
  • Communicate patient's condition to physician before, during, and after procedures.
  • Perform and/or facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures.
  • Set up and provide equipment and supplies before, during, and after procedures.

Requirements:

  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Passionate about patient care.
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current Cardiovascular Tech experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Cardiovascular Tech/Radiology Tech program.
  • Active unencumbered Texas Cardiovascular Tech state license.
  • One year of Cerner experience.
  • ARRT Certification.

  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving expertise.
  • A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers, and staff throughout the department and hospital.
  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
