Job Summary
The Catholic Health System is seeking a highly skilled Certified Nurse Midwife to join our team at Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive care to pregnant and laboring women, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patient care, integrating psychosocial and physical needs of women
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care, including labor and delivery
- Perform physical examinations and obtain patient history to evaluate and coordinate care
- Meet credentialing requirements and maintain licensure as a Certified Nurse Midwife or Licensed Midwife
Requirements
- Possess a license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
- Current licensure as a Certified Nurse Midwife or Licensed Midwife required
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program or Masters Level Nurse Midwife program required
- BLS certification and NRP certification required
