The Space Vehicle Systems Integration Specialist role at SAIC is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team.

About the Role

We are seeking a talented individual with expertise in space vehicle systems integration and systems engineering throughout the lifecycle. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical advisory services to support a System Program Office (SPO) in advancing the National Reconnaissance Office's (NRO) resiliency posture.

In this role, you will collaborate with a team of experts to advance the NRO's acquisition processes, providing oversight of acquisitions, conducting full lifecycle engineering reviews, and ensuring proper requirement verification and validation methodology. Your strong technical background and excellent communication skills will enable you to effectively engage with government clients and development contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance on system engineering processes to ensure end-to-end system closure and satisfaction of mission need.
  • Conduct full lifecycle engineering reviews, including System Requirements and Lifecycle Readiness Reviews, to demonstrate design meets all specifications and customer requirements.
  • Evaluate and implement effective risk management processes and methods for identifying, assessing, and adjudicating program risk.
  • Represent the government client to development contractors, ensuring proper messaging between parties.
  • Support Contract Officer/Contract Officer Technical Representatives (CO/COTRs) and Developers by coordinating with other technical domain Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and program stakeholders.
  • Review Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables to ensure content, technical accuracy, and sufficiency of design details to meet program requirements and objectives.
Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • An active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • A degree in a relevant field (Bachelors or higher) with a minimum of 14 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven knowledge in Requirements Management, Quality Control, and Configuration Management.
  • Effective communication, coordination, and customer engagement skills.
  • Strong written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Certifications such as INCOSE CSEP or ESEP, PMI PMP.
