Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $140,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

This role offers the chance to lead a high-performing team at the Pacific Monarch Hotel in Honolulu, HI. As Hotel Operations Director, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, controlling costs, providing exceptional guest satisfaction, and delivering top-notch product and service quality.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Meet or exceed established budgetary guidelines for the hotel.
  • Protect and enhance the value of all hotel assets through appropriate maintenance, security, housekeeping, and capital budgeting programs.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of period-end financial statements and reports, with proper handling and accounting for all hotel receipts.
  • Develop action plans to maximize RevPar, control operating expenses, maintain credit policies, conduct credit meetings, and supervise collection of major accounts.
  • Lead and motivate property-level leadership teams, accountable for successful delivery of business plans, exploring new opportunities, curating unique guest experiences, driving optimal profitability, and increasing market share.

You will work closely with the RevGen team to develop revenue-generating strategies for the property, align sales and marketing efforts with business strategy, and hold sales leaders accountable for meeting established performance metrics.

In addition, you will manage all aspects of Springboard's hotel rental program, curate the guest experience, lead departments (Housekeeping, Front Office, and Engineering) teams in an upscale environment, achieve budgeted departmental profitability, and pre-established GSS and engagement goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • Minimum 3-year experience as Executive Assistant Manager and/or Resident Manager in all phases of hotel management, including sales and marketing in a first-class hotel organization.
  • College degree or equivalent education, i.e., hotel Business College.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, preparation of business plans, repairs, maintenance, rehabilitation plans, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, hotel law, and long-range planning.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and develop staff, set priorities, plan, organize, delegate, and control.
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills, ability to communicate effectively with guests, management, and coworkers, read, write, and understand the English language.
  • Energetic and outgoing personality, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment, type 45 wpm, and access information on the computer.
