About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Certified Veterinary Technician Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing clinic operations, leading our team of Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and Housekeeping staff, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage the workflow on the floor to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Cultivate a positive and engaging work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.
  • Work closely with hospital management and supervisory teams to drive the progression of the hospital and achieve business objectives.
  • Assist in the interview process for potential new hires and onboard all new associates.
  • Develop and implement educational programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our Veterinary Technicians.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate important information and address any concerns or issues.
  • Provide opportunities for staff to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills.
  • Mentor and coach Veterinary Technicians to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Resolve conflicts and issues in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Refine and implement protocols to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.
  • Ensure that VCA policies, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented and adhered to by all members of the technical staff.
Qualifications:
  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, RVT, LVMT) with a preference for Florida CVT.
  • 5+ years of clinical experience in a veterinary setting.
  • Proven leadership experience, with a track record of success in managing teams and driving business results.
  • Passion for veterinary medicine and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
