About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Lines, Property & Casualty Account Executive to join our team at Alera Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for understanding client needs and developing tailored insurance solutions to meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and developing strategic insurance solutions.
  • Collaborate with producers, account managers, marketing representatives, and underwriters to discuss clients' insurance strategies and solutions.
  • Develop and submit applications, supplementals, loss history, and analysis for clients' review and to market accounts successfully.
  • Coordinate marketing and follow-up with carriers to meet timelines and expirations.
  • Review, enter, and update all activities and client information in Applied EPIC.
  • Qualify inbound leads and prospects via phone and email, and work directly to write coverage or refer to other team members.
  • Organize regular client meetings to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with underwriters, brokers, and carrier reps.
  • Prepare and present new and renewal proposals.
  • Attend in-person meetings with clients to discuss coverage, renewals, address concerns, etc.
  • Communicate with clients to answer questions on coverage, claims, procedures, and referrals.
  • Collaborate with key decision-makers to identify opportunities and develop ideas that deliver sales results.
  • Uncover and understand client coverage needs.
  • Attend trade shows and host customer events.
  • Prospect new sales from referrals from existing clients.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred.
  • Property and Casualty license, required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years prior experience (insurance agency or carrier in commercial lines).
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Exceptional knowledge of insurance products and plans.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and balance multiple priorities and obligations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
