Senior Paving Operations Manager

Job Summary:
Hi-Way Paving, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Paving Operations Manager to oversee the preparation and execution of slipform and fixed form paving operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with a focus on paving operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation and execution of paving operations, ensuring compliance with FAA, USACE, and state DOT specifications.
- Supervise a crew of operators and laborers, overseeing equipment and managing schedule requirements.
- Work closely with job-site leadership to review procedures, plans, and results.
- Coordinate and implement fixed form paving operations.
- Monitor all placement, finishing, and curing operations for specification compliance.
- Direct and communicate with crew members and project managers to ensure high-quality pavements.
- Designate worker responsibilities and schedules, and assist in coordinating the delivery of equipment and materials.
- Perform and report time and cost coding for all supervised employees.
- Monitor and enforce safety rules and practices from governing authorities and site-specific plans.
Requirements:
- 3+ years' experience as a construction/paving foreman or related construction job-site management experience.
- Experience with GOMACO paving equipment, preferred.
- Enhanced training or certifications in safety and/or OSHA regulations, preferred.
- High degree of focus and attention to detail.
- Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel overnight to job sites up to 100% of the time.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Physical capabilities required are climbing, lifting, carrying a minimum of 75 lbs., standing, sitting, walking, entering confined spaces, pushing, pulling, kneeling, squatting, and performing repetitive actions.

Hi-Way Paving, Inc. is a general contractor in the heavy/civil construction space focusing on projects involving significant amounts of concrete paving on airfields.
We operate in several southeastern and midwestern states with current job sites in Tennessee and North Carolina as well as corporate/back office operations in Ohio (our headquarters) and remote locations. We perform most of our work and services as a prime contractor but occasionally serve as a subcontractor on principal contracts with federal, state, and other governmental agencies as well as private owners.
