Wild Game Processing Specialist

Description:
At Prasek's Family Smokehouse, we're seeking a skilled Wild Game Processing Specialist to join our team. As a Wild Game Processing Specialist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality wild game products while working collaboratively with our team to achieve our mission of providing exceptional customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions:
1. Handle raw wild game meat, including deboning, grinding, and stuffing, to ensure the highest quality products.
2. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards as determined by the USDA, adhering to strict guidelines to ensure food safety.
3. Follow instructions, including recipe printouts and grinding tags, to ensure accurate processing and packaging.
4. Assist in the packaging of products using a vacuum sealer or bulk methods, paying close attention to detail to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly.
5. Help with custom processing orders during the off-season, providing exceptional customer service and support.
6. Have a working knowledge of equipment in the room, including grinders, saws, stuffers, and other machinery, to ensure efficient and safe operation.
7. Assist the Customer Service Representative with managing freezers and coolers, including pulling and receiving orders, to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
8. Perform other tasks as determined by the Wild Game Supervisors/Team Leader, adapting to changing needs and priorities.

Requirements:
1. Must be 18+ years old, with a strong focus on safety and responsibility.
2. Knowledge of wild game processing, with previous experience a plus, to ensure high-quality products and efficient processing.
3. Basic knowledge of handling knives, scissors, and other equipment in the room, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
4. Proficient in oral communication with management, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
5. Bilingual/English preferred, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.

Physical and Other Requirements:
1. Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds, with a focus on safety and physical ability.
2. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, squat, reach overhead, and side-to-side for an extended period, with a focus on physical stamina and endurance.
3. As dictated by business and need, must be able to work extended hours and a varying work schedule, with a focus on flexibility and adaptability.
4. Must be able to function in a high-stress environment and maintain composure when handling products within the wild game room, with a focus on emotional intelligence and stability.
