Manufacturing Process Improvement Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Improvement Specialist to join our team at Schwan's Company. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for driving process improvement in Manufacturing Processing and Packaging systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy strategies to maximize manufacturing performance on targeted systems
- Lead efforts to identify and drive cost savings projects (i.e., material optimization or waste reduction)
- Create and improve manufacturing instructions and standards to increase sustainability and reduce variation
- Develop and deploy advanced data analysis tools to expose and eliminate losses
- Provide technical leadership to solve problems, drive improvements in production systems, and implement standards to ensure sustainment
- Build technical skills within manufacturing teams to drive out losses across processing and packaging systems
- Maintain a central library of technical documentation to provide standardization and facilitate best practice sharing
- Serve as a subject matter expert in the assigned technologies and platforms
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Food Manufacturing or Consumer Packaged Goods
- Experience with USDA, FDA, OSHA, and EPA regulations
- Leadership of structured problem-solving approaches such as Lean, Six-Sigma, or TPM
- Development and use of statistical models and data analytics (Corporate)
- Ability to travel up to 50-75% as required
