Are you a skilled upholstery professional seeking a challenging role in the aerospace industry? AAA USA is looking for an experienced Senior Aircraft Interior Fabricator to join their team in Little Rock, AR.

About the Role

This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft upholstery, with expertise in fabricating, developing, building, sewing, and covering aircraft soft goods. The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of interior finishing techniques and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality sewing or upholstery operations within budget
  • Disassemble and reassemble various models of vendor passenger seats
  • Conduct maintenance tasks such as glue application, adhesive bonding, hardware installation, and rivet installation
  • Style foams to meet specifications/customer requirements
  • Lay out, match, cut, and sew various routine and non-routine sewing operations
  • Develop patterns from prints, sketches, models, and verbal instructions
  • Select and work with fabrics, leathers, foams, and other materials used in job assignments
  • Fabricate and upholster all soft goods including aircraft seats, divans, service ledges, side walls, headliners, and window panels
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 3 years of aircraft upholstery experience
  • Able to set up and operate standard equipment related to upholstery
  • Able to work from documentation such as 3D models, blueprints, drawings, F-standards, preparation packages, etc.
  • No allergies to chemicals, solvents, paints, adhesives, natural or manmade materials, fabrics, or feathers
  • Able to distinguish colors and align intricate designs in fabrics
  • Able to lift and transport up to 40 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Visual capacity and muscular dexterity to work on fine detail, high-cost products with a minimum of rework
  • Able to wear protective equipment for extended periods

Estimated Salary Range:

$55,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience
