Job Title: Final Inspector

Job Summary:

The Final Inspector will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products and services in accordance with established industry standards, government regulations, and customer requirements. This role will involve leading continuous improvement activities, providing quality assurance support, and executing the organization's Quality Assurance strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain proficiencies in Return to Service and inspection personnel tasks, as well as manage associated quality programs.
  • Provide Quality interface and expertise to the MRO team in Sarasota to ensure their needs and expectations are understood and met.
  • Offer Quality interface, expertise, and support to the MRO team for the collection and analysis of Quality data.
  • Implement and improve Quality Management Systems across operations, ensuring the necessary documentation is maintained.
  • Participate in internal Quality System Audits, managing follow-up corrective actions.
  • Contribute to product sustaining activities and address customer complaints through the warranty return process.
  • Design and implement quality assurance training programs, conducting training in quality-related topics throughout the organization.
  • Assist in Material Review Board activities to manage nonconforming materials, oversee containment activities, and implement root cause corrective actions.
  • Investigate and eliminate causes of quality problems, following up on corrective actions.
  • Support the Quality Manager in hosting customer quality-related activities, such as onsite audits, visits, and production readiness assessments.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree or related work experience.
  • Preferably two years minimum quality experience with a working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 145 Regulations, statistical methods, problem solving, international quality standards, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and electronic devices and their functional characteristics to aid in effective prevention, detection, disposition, and root cause analysis.

  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to interact cordially and productively with subordinates, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Proficient in the English language to read and understand manuals and technical information, document safety reports, and professional writing skills.

Work Environment:

The work environment is an office setting on the shop floor. Noise level is moderate.
