Cath Lab Cardiologist Support Specialist

Norman Regional Health System, a renowned healthcare institution in the Oklahoma City metro area, seeks a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join its innovative cardiovascular program. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to delivering high-quality patient care.
We are looking for a caring and knowledgeable Registered Technologist to expand our cardiovascular program. With our new state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower, we will have three Cath Lab suites, one Electrophysiology suite, one Hybrid suite, two treatment rooms, and seventeen Same Day Surgery rooms. Our team consists of nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists.
Norman Regional Health System has received prestigious awards, including American College of Cardiology Chest Pain Center with PCI and Resuscitation Accreditation, American College of Cardiology NCDR Registry Gold Award, Women's Choice Award in Heart Care, Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) Echo Accreditation, and American Association Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) Accreditation.
Job Responsibilities:- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition. Prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Maintain a sterile environment.
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation.
- Use downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks assigned by the Charge person or manager.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with physicians and leadership to ensure excellent patient care.
The ideal candidate will possess relevant certifications, hold current Basic Life Support training, and be able to maintain Advanced Life Support within six months of hire.
Requirements:- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Advanced Life Support certification within six months of hire.
- $27.84-$45.46 per hour, based on previous work experience.
