Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team in the Mideast Area. This role is responsible for overseeing multi-location job sites, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and collaborating with superintendents to achieve project goals.

About the Role

This Full-Time position offers an estimated annual salary of $60,000 - $80,000, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision insurance, 401K, paid time off, and life insurance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Safety
  • Assist Project Superintendents and Concrete Finishing Superintendents in the investigation of incidents (vehicle accidents, personal injury, and general liabilities).
  • Ensure that proper safety equipment (PPE) is used for themselves and others in the finishing crew.
Quality
  • Ensure consistent and superior workmanship that meets or exceeds customer expectations, finished correctly the first time.
  • Spot-check elevations and depth during concrete placements, which can significantly affect slab tolerances and added cost to the project.
  • Communicate with the Screed Operator to determine type of placement/finish, as required by the specifications of the project. (FF/FL)
  • Continually be aware of weather conditions, timing of loads to prevent problems, and assure the specified concrete finish.
  • Continually verify placed concrete for consistent slump, workability, and finish.

  • Properly trained to operate, clean and maintain, ALL finishing equipment.
Leadership and Management
  • Manage through leadership and effective communication.
  • Motivate and inspire employees through positive reinforcement and prompt feedback on expected safety, quality, and productivity related goals.
Performance Evaluations
  • Performance Evaluations are conducted after the first 90 days and annually thereafter or as deemed necessary by the Supervisor.
