Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse Supervisor to join our team at The Village Active Life Plan Community in Hemet, California.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility for nursing care management of residents on the unit to which assigned.
  • Directly supervise floor nurses and non-licensed staff, ensuring optimal resident care.
  • Recognize significant changes in resident condition and take necessary action, communicating with the IDT and documenting appropriately.
  • Complete shift-to-shift report to maintain communication between licensed staff.
  • Conduct daily rounds of assigned residents to evaluate their physical condition and address nursing concerns in a timely manner.
  • Ensure staff understand and respect residents' rights.
  • Assist with IVs, med passes, admissions, and other tasks as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete accident/incident reports as necessary.
  • Handle resident/family complaints/concerns professionally and initiate corrective action as needed.
Requirements
  • Current California RN license.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Skilled Nursing as an RN who manages staff.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people and cope with geriatric population emotions.
  • Ability to assume responsibility of nursing unit and residents assigned.
  • Ability to communicate and supervise non-licensed assistive personnel effectively.
