Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Services Management Auditor to join our team at the California State Controller's Office. As a key member of our audit team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial statements and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct audits and reviews of financial statements and records to ensure compliance with laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Develop and implement audit plans and procedures to achieve audit objectives.
  • Analyze data and identify areas for improvement, making recommendations for corrective action.
  • Collaborate with senior auditors and other team members to ensure effective and efficient audit processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in laws, regulations, and professional standards, applying this knowledge to improve audit processes and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • High degree of initiative, self-motivation, and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Access.
