Housekeeping Room Attendant Job Description

Tygart Hotel is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our team. As a Housekeeping Room Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our guest rooms, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, and adhering to our hotel's standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and prepare guest rooms for occupancy, including making beds, changing linens, and restocking amenities.
  • Restock housekeeping carts and supplies, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Respond to guest requests and report any issues or concerns to the Senior Housekeeper.
  • Participate in daily housekeeping meetings and communicate effectively with the housekeeping team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Housekeeper or Hotel Management.
Requirements:
  • No formal education required, but prior housekeeping experience is desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write correspondence, and speak effectively with guests and supervisors.
  • Must have a high level of attention to detail, strong time management skills, and the ability to meet standards of appearance.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy objects, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods.
Working Conditions:

The Housekeeping Room Attendant will work in a fast-paced hotel environment, with frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and other allergens. The position requires standing, walking, and lifting for long periods, as well as frequent bending and kneeling.
