Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated professional to provide exceptional nursing care to patients suffering from wounds. As a Wound Care Nurse Specialist, you will assess and evaluate patients with wounds and injuries, initiate nursing care procedures in managing acute and traumatic wounds, and coordinate with rehab, traumatic, and nutritional nurses in nursing patients with wounds.

About the Role

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, with no weekend or on-call requirements. Our ideal candidate will have a BSN or higher, be licensed in Texas, or be license eligible in a compact state.

Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent nursing care to patients suffering from wounds.
  • Assess and evaluate patients with wounds and injuries.
  • Initiate nursing care procedures in managing acute and traumatic wounds.
  • Coordinate with rehab, traumatic, and nutritional nurses in nursing patients with wounds.
  • Educate and counsel patients and their families on wound care processes and issues.
  • Sanitize and maintain the premises of wound care neat, clean, and hygienic.
