Machinist Specialist

Puffer-Sweiven is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for assembling, repairing, and fabricating parts using mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and repair parts using manual machines such as lathes, drill presses, and milling machines.
• Operate metalworking machine tools to machine parts to specifications.
• Use blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and tolerance levels.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines and tools.
• Take care of work tools and equipment.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees as required.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Ability to operate manual machines without direct supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to read technical drawings.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment.
