Job Summary:

The Market Medical Director is responsible for implementing market-level clinical care standards and practice guidelines to ensure compliance with nationally accepted quality standards.

This role requires a strong leader who can provide training, clinical consultation, and clinical case review for members, as well as participate in Interdisciplinary Care Team meetings, Inpatient Census Rounds, and other clinical meetings.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and be able to support market provider network development and maintenance.

They will also be responsible for providing leadership to direct reports to achieve market goals, as well as participating in peer-to-peer discussions, market level quality initiatives, and community collaboratives.

This role requires a strong understanding of healthcare data and the ability to analyze it to evaluate physician practice patterns.

The Medical Director will also be responsible for providing consultation to the Market Operations teams regarding coding and reimbursement policies, as well as serving as chair/co-chair of Market Committees as needed.

This is a challenging role that requires a strong leader who can drive execution and influence others to achieve market goals.

Education and Experience:
Completion of an accredited Medical Degree program as a medical doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic (DO) medicine is required.
Successful completion of a residency training program, preferably in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry is required.
Minimum of five (5) years of clinical practice experience is required.
Managed care medical review/medical director experience is preferred.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Operational Excellence, Healthcare Administration or Medical Management is preferred.

Licensure and Certification:
Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in state of practice as necessary to meet regulatory requirements is required
Board Certification, preferably in Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist care specialty is required; re-certification, as required by specialty board, must be maintained

Compensation Range:
$156, $2,080,000.00
