Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse to join our team at Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital. As a Clinical Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and managing nursing activities in our Med/Surg/Telemetry unit.

About the Role

This is a full-time position requiring 12-hour shifts, working days at our hospital. The successful candidate will be a competent and dedicated Registered Nurse with a passion for delivering high-quality patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients, plan, and implement care strategies to meet their individual needs.
  • Ensure effective communication with patients, families, and medical teams to achieve positive patient outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain a therapeutic nurse-patient relationship throughout the healthcare continuum.
  • Perform documentation of patient care, including assessment, interdisciplinary plan of care, implementation, evaluation, and the Watson Model of Care.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in Med/Surg/Telemetry or Critical Care.
  • Current California Nursing license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Certification in Progressive Critical Care Nursing and/or Medical/Surgical Nursing is preferred.
